Customisations
Other things to consider to enhance your student diary.
Finishing touches to your diary aren’t just about aesthetics, they also play an important role in enhancing usability and the overall experience.
Take a look at all the options and additional extras you can add to your student’s experience.
Binding options
We have three common binding options.
Coil Bound. This is our most popular type, with the ability to add pockets, different bookmark styles and protective poly cover. Plus, it also opens completely flat for ease of use.
PUR Bound. This is a soft cover option that is great on value with a smooth spine.
Case Bound. This is a hard cover option for a more classic and formal look. The hard cover can also look fantastic with foiled details, such as your logo.
Cover options
Custom designed cover. Showcase a student artwork, a hero image, school motto and/or logo. Consider printing double sided.
Laminate the cover. This is recommended to protect the print against continued use and provides longevity throughout the school year. You can choose a regular gloss laminate, matte laminate, or a 250um micron double sided laminate (similar to credit card material).
Coil colours
Coils are available in eleven different colours.
Pockets
We offer two pocket types to compliment your diary, which can be placed anywhere within the diary. These are punched and hand inserted with the text.
Silk pocket. This is opaque, super durable and contains two large sections (ideal for maps, notes home) and three small sections (ideal for Student ID cards, USB or pen). Please note – the silk pocket is not available for A5 diaries.
Clear pocket. This is a single clear sleeve containing one pocket.
Bookmarks
We offer two types of bookmarks.
Printed fold-out bookmark often located at the back of the diary and our most popular style. It is a printed fold-out, to fold into the current page. It can be printed with any content you require and can be placed at any location.
Ribbon bookmark is a simple ribbon attached to the coil or spine of the diary, in any colour you choose.
Printed page tabs
A clever way of creating a division of sections/Terms within your diary, at no extra cost, is by printing ‘page tabs’ on page edges. For each Term we add a coloured strip to the outside edge, which can be seen on the outside edge when the diary is closed. This is a cost-effective alternative to protruding custom tabs. Use House colours or corporate colours to divide all 4 Terms.
